Tara Zeller is a behavior analytic practitioner, educator, and founder of AppleTree Connection, with over 25 years of experience working across clinical, educational, and community-based settings. Her career has been shaped by working with individuals with diverse abilities, personalities, and support needs, as well as supervising and mentoring professionals at every stage of development.
Tara holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, a Master of Science in Management, and a Graduate Certificate in Applied Behavior Analysis. Her work integrates behavioral science with leadership development, supervision practices, and systems-level culture building.
She founded AppleTree Connection to bridge the gap between technical competence and professional growth in ABA. AppleTree focuses on developing practitioners, supporting RBT career pathways, strengthening employer partnerships, and elevating the quality of supervision through practical, ethically grounded training. At its core, AppleTree exists to support the humans behind the credentials - because strong practitioners build strong systems.
Tara’s approach is influenced by both behavioral science and interdisciplinary thought leaders. SOME Key inspirations include:
The Power of Positive Parenting — Glenn Latham
Verbal Behavior — B.F. Skinner
Antecedent Control - Luiselli & Cameron
Dare to Lead — Brené Brown
Burnout: The Secret to Unlocking the Stress Cycle — Emily Nagoski & Amelia Nagoski
Open Heart: Practicing Compassion in Everyday Life — The Dalai Lama

Her work emphasizes the art of ABA - applying behavioral principles with precision, compassion, and intention to shape not only client outcomes, but practitioner identity and supervisory culture.
